Ronny Denis head of referees Pro Basketball League

The Pro Basketball League has appointed ex-referee Ronny Denis as head of its Referee Department. Ronny will take over the operational management of the department from Serge Decoster, who has run the department for 3 years. 

Arthur Goethals, president Pro Basketball League: “We want to thank Serge for the work he has done as head of the department. Under his control, the department was integrated independently within the Pro Basketball League. We are confident that Ronny will further develop and professionalize the department in the interest of Belgian Basketball.”

I want to thank the Pro Basketball League for having confidence in me to function as head of the Referee Department. Together with all stakeholders, it is my goal to improve the overall level of refereeing in the Pro Basketball League as an integral and respected part of the game.  

Bio Ronny Denis:

Born: Tongeren June 7, 1970

Ronny was a referee at the highest level of Belgian basketball for 20 years, of which 9 years as a FIBA referee. For several years, he was active within Basketbal Vlaanderen as Secretary of the Provincial Group of the delegates of Limburg, as well as the Committee for Provincial Referees.
